SHOWTIME!

We had to pick a quote out of various ones given this was the one I chose:
“Whoever said not to let little things annoy them, as never spent the night with a mosquito”

SHOWTIME!

The lights of the concert were all shining bright,
We buzzed with excitement and flew in from the night.
The chief choreographer mopped his hot brow,
He gave us a lecture on movement and how
We should let our bodies’ fly and en trance
And show the audience just how we could dance!

The lights went out, and the curtains were drawn,
This was our signal to dance until dawn.
The audience had settled and snuggled in bed
Loud came our voices and filled him with dread.
The choirmaster waved his baton with glee
And gave a big grin when we all hit high ‘C’

The audience was shouting and yelling for more
He leapt out of bed, stubbed his toe on the floor.
We kept on singing late into the night,
Our dancing was making a beautiful sight.
Now the time neared for our great finale
The charming ‘Flight of the Bumble Bee’

The audience arose, waved his hands in the air
He clapped and applauded as loud as he dare,
It was tremendous, a standing ovation,
He loved us! Adored us! Oh what admiration!

A strange noise came from the other side of the bed
“What on earth are you doing?” her muffled voice said.
